The Septemeber Issue documentary
Hello fellow fashionistas!! I am so psyched about this movie...ok ok...it was a ctually made a couple of years ago, but I think it will be really interesting to learn what actually goes into being the editor of Vogue. Anna Wintour is THE most influential person in the fashion business. I've always dreamed of writing for a fashion magazine so this documentary promises to be amoung my fashion collection!! Enjoy the following you tube video clip.

High Waisted Pencil Skirts
High waisted pencil skirts were seen on many of the autumn/winter 2011 runway shows. But who can wear this trend? This sleek silhouette looks best on the long waisted woman. The tapered shape of the skirt creates curves on a boyish figure. And the straight cut lengthens short legs.
Choose a skirt that has verticle details such as pin stripping or a piped trim.
This look is best worn with a long sleeved blouse layered with a short sleeved sweater. Pair it with a moderate heeled pump or a kitten heel that is pointed to extend your legs even further.
The above photo is one of the colorful pencil skirt as seen at the 2011 A/W L'Wren Scott runway show.

Chris Benz A/W 2011 ethereal collection
The Chris Benz autumn/winter 2011 collection was anything but boring. The ethereal look was inspired by a recent trip to Savannah,GA...one of the spookiest cities to date. The clothing was both works of art and yet still wearable. Although color was used, it was used sparingly and in a monochromatic tones. I love the lady-like silhouettes in soft ruffles and draping as well as the structured dress suits. I think this collection speaks well to all women.

Fall 2011's BEST Runway Looks
I'm always so delighted in learning the hottest trends shown on the runways. Here are some of my favorites:
Black & White...pair these two colors together and you are oh so chic! Dolce & Gabbana showed the coolest black dress with an allover white star print. ( Did you know that Coco Chanel was made famous by the LBD, Little Black Dress? ) And seriously, who can resist anything in a houndstooth print?
Gloves...yes and in all lengths ladies!! Can't you just picture yourself taking tea like the royals do? I love this fun trend and I plan on breaking out some of my vintage gloves and styling them with a pretty dress and pearls. Retro fun!!
Two-toned nails...I am dying to try this one even though I like to wear my nails short. This fresh nail look was seen at 3.1 Phillip Lim, Alexander McQueen, and Jason Wu.
Red...it was everywhere, from clothing to accessories to lips. NOTE: This trend is NOT for the wallflower. Red is and will always be a classic. Just be careful when matching it to your skin tone. Wear orange- reds if you're a warm tone and blue-reds for cool tone.
Chunky Jewels...The bigger the better this season. Mixed metals lend a rock chic vibe.
Fur...it was used as a stand alone as well as a trim. But please be kind to nature and choose faux fur over the real thing. A faux neck piece is the best way to wear this trend without overwhelming oneself.
A Statement Coat...This one I am famous for. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing like a classic coat. But why not chase away those winter blues with bright colored or printed outerwear
