Brooches make a comeback for summer
Once again I am seeing brooches reapperaring in fashion magazines & at department stores. So how does one wear them you may ask? Obviously you may wear them on the lapel of your jacket...very classic!...but add more than one for some wow factor. Try wearing one on a t-shirt at the shoulder to freshen up your look. Or you can add them like pendents to your favorite necklace. (They would look especially pretty on pearls & angled to the side) Be creative!! Let me know your favorite way to wear them!!

Please don't do this!!!
Okay ladies, I was browsing my August issue of Lucky magazine, which I have been faithful to for years. I believe it's the Best of the BEST. But I saw something that was very disturbing to me...lovely ladies styled in pleated pants. I have to say that I have NEVER seen anyone look good in a pleated pant...myself included and I am a 100lb. woman. So please, please, please do not purchase this type of pant which adds pounds. Instead choose a flat front trouser or jean or short.
Christian Dior Fall Winter 2010 2011 Womenswear Full Fashion Show Part 2
Part two of the Fall/Winter show from Dior's John Galliano. I can not wait to see how retailers translate this line for ready-to-wear. I'm thinking of stores like Forever21. I will be taking a field trip to some of my favorite stores soon!!

Christian Dior Fall Winter 2010/2011 Womenswear Full Fashion Show Part 1
I can not resist the detail to John Galliano's fall/winter collection for Dior. From the beautifully muted colors...everything from dusty blue, sage, nudes, light greys...to dark chocolates and slate greys. The line itself was very soft...dramatic long sheered skirts worn over short shorts, tied ruffles on blouses and skirts. Notice the long-legged look by wearing those shorter skirts with thigh high socks and sky high heels or over-the-knee boots. I love the vintage feel throughout.
