Elie Saab's Haute Couture Collection for Spring/Summer 2010 is just too beautiful for words.Think old Hollywood glamour! His use of flowing, sheer fabrics and colors of celedon greens, pale yellows, soft petal pinks, lilacs and nudes all play homage to the Aquatic Garden theme. Draped and embroidered gowns were both long and short. Some had high cut slits or were off the shoulder, but ALL were undoubtedly breathtaking.
History of Elie Saab:
Lebanese born Elie Saab showed his first collection in 1982. Since then he has become well known for his famous dress designs for actress Halle Berry.

Turquoise for 2010!!
Pantone has named turquoise as the color of the year. I am thrilled with this news since it is one of my favorite colors. Not quite blue; yet not quite green. I always think of tropical waters. So lovely... And it looks wonderful on all skin tones. Wear it fior summer in a swim suit or pretty dress.

Ruffles
On a recent trip to New York City I noticed many women of all ages wearing ruffled garments in their own stylish ways. Most popular was the wearing of ruffled t-shirts in solid colors like soft pinks, nudes & greys. New Yorkers are pairing them with pretty short skirts, leggings or capri pants.
To get their look check out JCrew.com, Express.com or my favorite, Loftonline.com. Check out Milla Jojovich's looks for the Loft!!! Be inspired.

sneaker tips
Do you live in your sneakers like I do?! Well, here are some handy tips to keep them looking and smelling fresh.
I hate when my sneakers, or any shoes really, start to smell "not so fresh". Tuck your used dryer sheets into your sneakers at night. In the morning they smell nice and fresh. Not only that, but you are recycling!! (You could also do this when you put away your winter boots for the season!!)
White sneakers are a royal pain to keep looking like new. Naturally these are the ones I want. Invest in some baby wipes (most dollar stores carry them). Just wipe with the cloth and watch them sparkle like new.
